Salary Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for a Special Procedure Technologist at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem . Harlem Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. Harlem Hospital is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Under the direction/supervision of a Radiologist, Technical Supervisor, or Lead Technologist performs radiographic procedures to include CT, angiography and routine diagnostic procedures on patients whose condition requires specialized expertise at a technical level, not requiring supervision of technical detail, but will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation according to ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
This position will support the vision, mission, and value statements of NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlemby providing for interdisciplinary cooperation in the provision of timely/courteous service to our customers, reduction in turn-around-time, and for the compassionate care and treatment of each patient.
